My birthday present!!!
Oh my. I'm so excited because I just got an
IPOD NANO for my birthday. It's sleek, stylish and omg, can watch video with it. To show my appreciation, I decided to dedicate a post to them. I must thank my 3 brothers (Alvin, Elson, Ivan) and da sao (Fabbie) for buying it for me. LOL...totally make her sound so old. Anyway, I bet you all will be reading it soon because Alvin chew (ahem, you yes you!) asks me to blog about it. He is so kiasu as to give it to me today in case anyone gets an mp3 player for me. Thanks so much, minus away the part that he had the receipt and price tag on.
My ipod nano (too lazy to take a photo). Anyway it's so thin, I'm afraid I will break it someday. (touchwood!)
Counting down 2 days to lovely nineteen. Oh my, I just love february cause it feels so blissful. :)
Anyway, work today has been uber hilarious. Tell you about it if i get to meet any of you soon.
1st Birthday Celebration
Phew...today was a really busy day. I met up with 3 groups of people. Not saying that I'm highly sought after for accompaniement, but more like I'm the only free one.
I met up with mich for lunch because she is just too bored with work. I realised working adults love taking leave on chu3 and chu4. That's called clearing annual leave. Next time I should learn from them when I enter the working world. RAHH...how i hope i have annual leave to clear. Oh my,but i really love teaching the kids. They make me feel so needed. :) I'm glad I didn't choose the wrong job. (apart from the complaining and what have you -- parents)
Yes... and i watched er...love matters with hx. OK. I hope I didn't get the name wrongly because I'm just too confused with the wedding game, alls well and love matters. Like why all looks the same de. Anyway, love matters is quite worth watching because got cute ah ma. Apart from all the pervetic talks, everything else should be alright. Oh ya, and mochis at bugis is really nice!!! I must go eat again. $2 a piece makes it so unaffordable. But why? Because it's
GOURMET ice cream mochi. LOL
Then i met up with the exco for dinner! Shokudo? Some japanese marche like restaurant. And they celebrated pre 19th birthday for me at the war memorial. Though funny, it has quite a beautiful scenery and also quite romantic. (according to jer, tsk tsk tsk) See? I am providing couples a good hangout for them. Oh yes, and they bought me a clutch. Shall bring it out next time. :)look forward to meeting them on 28th feb. Once every month outing. They/We are forever so unglam.
And i bought myself a diary! (sister diary with yingting)
Singapore's new big C
HAPPY 19th BIRTTHDAY JOEY NG YI YANG!!! Though I think you are probably slogging in school now and not celebrating. Please tell me if I'm wrong. :) Anyway you are 19 and old already. So, stop using very broken english and applying your baby talk everywhere. (Steph secretly agrees with me) Words like buwee, good joey, bad joey. Your english spelling also cmi ok. But it makes me laugh looking at how you spell certain words. Like biased=baised? Gosh, why not just pay me to give you English tuition? I may consider giving you a discount since I know you for quite long already. CHEAP CHEAP ONLY!
Oh ya, talking about ytd, I was definitely very pissed off by this parent who claimed to have talked to me the other time he was here. WELL GREAT, as if I have even started working in like december? I bet he needs a serious eye checkup coupled with an operation to remove the stamp on his eye. Or maybe, I secretly have a clone somewhere. I'm so going to rant at my boss today about how he actually yuan wang wo. RAHH... no wonder my right eyelid is twitching ytd afternoon. Is the twitching of the right or left eyelid the one that indicates a bad omen? Someone please tell me although I have almost already concluded that right should be the one.
After close to two weeks of working, I found out what's the secret weapon (mi mi wu qi/ fa bao) of every parent and their tag line to it. "You give me the name of your in charge, I'm going to complain to the hq." and worse still "I know your boss, you know what I can do. So, just make each other happy" LIKE WTH! Singapore has a new big C - COMPLAIN. Like whatever, that's how civilized we are anyway. A world with threats. And so, the next time I wish to complain about something, I will put myself in the shoes of that poor person. LESSON ONE LEARNT!
DANCE
I miss dancing so terribly!!!
How entirely pleasing.
I'M FORCED TO BLOG!By who?
None other than JOEY NG YI YANG, the baby kangaroo.
Since you asked me to blog, please do not regret because what you are going to read later will not be entirely pleasing to the eyes.

That's all. I will be back if i wish for more. LOL. THERE'S WORK TML!!! Sigh
Work Work and more Work!
In case you have been wondering why I have been MIA with the latest technology these few days, the reason is I have started work officially since yesterday!!!
Two days of work so far and of course the second day is much better than the first. I'm quite happy with the overall working condition, cancelling away the fact that I can get quite useless at times. The administrative matters are hard to settle because it's just too ma fan and a mere Eoa like me cannot handle those cases. The plus point about working there is there's lots of food in the pantry and they are beginning to stuff me with all those stuff. To put it nicely, the pantry is the nicest place to explore.
Today I received two calls to complain. The first was a really long call and the lady wasn't exactly nice. Coupled with the fact that her voice was really high-pitched, the call didn't go well. The second call was better because the mother was well-mannered and she spoke so nicely, though hers is a really tough case to settle. Well done, I think she should get some courteous award after I get my supporting Singaporean one. Haha
What's the most demeaning fact I faced today? I cannot pull down the shutters although I was wearing my heels which is like almost two-inch high. I tried to reach and I jumped a little but also cannot. So I went in to ask my colleague a very dumb question, "Don't tell me we must pull down the shutters by ourselves?" (thinking that maybe it is automated. press one button then the shutters come down) Then she stared at me and said "Yes, you cannot reach ah? Can use the hook thing over there." Wah...then I must use the long hook thing to get that stupid shutters down. So humiliating. Zzz... Why are shutters built so high? One thing to ponder about.
In my aim to become tourist-like...
I have to admit I'm now a full grown tourist because I just visited the Singapore Science Centre today! In this week alone, I think I contributed to the tourism scene quite alot. First, it's the botanic gardens. Now, it's the science centre. WOW, i'm amazed by myself and I seriously think they should give me an award for that. It should be something like "MOST SUPPORTIVE SINGAPOREAN" -- Andrea Chew.
Then I will do the most cliche thing you always see on TV -- "YES YES THANK YOU THANK YOU, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS (Steph for botanic gardens, HX for science centre) FOR THIS AND I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THIS AWARD WITH THEM."
Alright, at this juncture, I can almost sense that you people out there want to give me a knock on my head. SO BE IT. At least i bring some fun, laughter, peace and joy. Haha, to be truthful, I think the 'high-ness' must be because I'm currently super duper whooper drained of my energy already. Ok. How ironic.
Next up, I want to pursue my aim (tsk tsk) above and go on the HIPPO TOUR!!! I heard it's quite worth it and it seems exciting. Any takers? You can book me starting from this moment and of course I will be more than glad if you are willing to pay for me. LOL
And tml is my last day before work. JIAYOU JIAYOU JIAYOU!
A Trip to the Singapore Botanics Garden
This fine day, Steph and I were extremely bored and decided to explore SINGAPORE. Yes, sick of town and sick of our hometown -- hougang and serangoon. Therefore, being in our super random self, we decided to find a map of Singapore and number all the places. Almost wanted to go the the tourism centre to get the map!!! But being the techno auntie, i decided to find it online.
TADAH--> http://www.map.gov.sg/StreetMap/ (check it out only if you are really bored)Right, so I labelled 26 places altogether and I got Steph to choose 3 numbers. I think she chose 3,19,24 and the places were Marine Parade, Sembawang and Bishan.OK, BORING PLACES. Therefore, we didn't go to any of the above after so much trouble. Steph(being as random as she can get), suggested BOTANICS GARDEN. And, off we go!!!
(P.S I reminded her to bring a cap so we can act like tourists. One of our favourite hobby now. What with all the 'xi shu sha la la la~~~', the language that only me and her can understand)

Farewell Dinner For January NS Babies
I'm blogging at this wee hours because ZY said so.
EVERYBODY TO BLOG TONIGHT!!! BUT... I'm going to bet that at this time, he's asleep and he didn't blog at all. At least HX and I did. :)
Alright, let's first introduce the two JANUARY NS BABIES:
Zi Yang
Yun Hao
Just look at the amount of food we have. Five people gobbled down 40 chicken nuggets, 4 large twister fries and 2 extra extra large lemon tea. (FYI, i didn't know there's something called extra extra large lemon tea and when we said that, it sent the macs guy laughing!!!) Everyone, try it next time. :)
That was farewell dinner part 1. After that, Mr Lee decided to go explore the purple line and so we went to
LITTLE INDIA!!! Yes yes I know, we are an interesting bunch of people, -me,nora,hx,zy. Actually, It's quite a wonderful place. If you want to buy some really cheapo stuff, go there. I guess we are going there for food next time. YAY!!!
HX and ZY at LITTLE INDIA!
A shop rarely seen around now
To end it off, I'm happy to announce that I am employed. Thanks alot WM! Starting work on next monday. So book me this week while you can see me or you will miss me soon enough. Hint Hint Cher, Vane, Mich, Han. And congrats HAN for getting into ballet. :)
'Eventful' day
The fourth day of 2009, everything is going on quite smoothly except for today. Oh well, don't generalise maybe. Tp put it correctly, except tonight. I met an idiotic guy who tried to da shan!!! -_-"""
Narration(Let me first make an apology to people who have a problem with understanding hanyu pinyin)
Guy: Xiao jie, xian zai ji dian le? (Just a little lao tao)
Me: 9.10pm
Guy: Ni du na yi jian zhong xue?
Me: (Looking pissed) JC, bi ye le.
Guy: (I think he looks abit stunned) Then, ni ji shui le?
Me: 18
Guy: Gen wo yi yang.
Me: -_-""" (cause i think he looks younger???)
(OK. I'm lazy to type hanyu pinyin!)
Guy: Going to find your bf:?
Me: No
Guy: Then where you going?
Me: Home
Guy: Then now no bf?
Me: No
Guy: Why don't have?
Me: Because don't have ( I think i pissed him off. YA!)
Guy: (I think he blah blah blah on)
Me: (Enters Mrt train)
Guy: (Enters too)
Ok but the good thing is he never talk on. But we both dropped at Hougang. I was kinda scared he will tail me home or something like that. Luckily he didn't! Vane and cher, almost wanted to call you all to come help me. Haha. But I think in the end the guy will tail you all instead. LOL
A Brand New Year - 2009
As a new chapter of my life unfolds, it means the closing of yet another one. Since it's a brand new year, I have decided to change my blog skin. Enough of all the colourful, glaring templates. Now I have chosen to make everything much simpler - the blogger template. I refuse to use Livejournal, refuse to use Wordpress because it is both a hassle to me and the rest (having to change blog address). Therefore, I am sticking to this blog for the rest of my life unless blogger shuts down (who knows when).
A brand new year 2009, I want it to be as fulfilling as it can be. I'm glad that I did something different this year unlike the past few years of counting down at home. I WATCHED THE FIREWORKS AT MARINA BAY! I spent my New Year Eve'08 and New Year'09 with
Kwan Ling, Yun Hao, Zi Yang, Han Xiao. Thanks so much all of you :) It is ironic how we only got closer and closer after school days, ever since the Bintan trip? Oh right, not forgetting
Nora Seah, the poor sick one. You all taught me so many things it can make me feel quite useless some of the times. HAHA. All the best for the year 2009 and i'm sure gonna miss my pk matches of slapjack with you lzy. (Although I usually win) Oh and
Valerie Thia, if you ever see this, I miss talking to you already. Faster get in contact ok!
Of course, not to forget, the peeps who have been with me through so many dearly years --
Vanessa, Cherylnn, Shu Han, Michelle, Wei Ming, Ming Han. I enjoy your company so much that it can never be replaced. I know it's mushy, but really thanks alot for just being there. YOU YI WAN SHUI!
Then there is
Stepfanie Ho and Tong Pei. Oh dear, i really love all the sessions at Cafe Cartel then Macs then Pasar Malam and so on and so forth. You all just seem so ever free to come out which is so good. My super-on friends!!! Let's wish us good business for the year 2009 if we are ever going to start.
2008 I made a decision I won't regret. I wish you all the best for 2009 and thanks for treating me so well for the days before.
Embracing 2009, here's my new year resolution:
1) Good grades for A levels and get into a course I want
2) Get employed and earn money
- buy myself an MP3 player
- buy myself a laptop
3) Be much more independent, matured and be less pampered
4) Treat all my family, friends better
5) Keep on dancing. Earn my money and take up lessons. :)
